WOW!! Check out how SWEET today’s blessing was. Our recipient, Ramon, was referred to us by St. Monica's Behavioral Health Services. Ramon and his wife have been working diligently on their recovery, working on locating a home and getting a part time job. Just recently they were reunified with their children! AMAZING! Transportation has been a key component missing for Ramon and his family to continue their successful journey. Not after today!! We are happy to welcome them to the C4H Family, as he has committed to our Aftercare Program.
A HUGE THANK YOU to the Stories Coffee Company crew, our Jumpstart sponsor for this blessing! We are so grateful for their community support and for them promoting C4H at Stories these last 3 months (the super cool chalkboard wall)! Thank you Dan and team!
Today was beautiful!! (Until the tornado watches at least ) Our recipient, Ann, was referred to us by the Stephen Center. Her case manager said: “Ann is a wonderful person. She has had some tough circumstances and has taken initiative since entering the emergency shelter here at the Stephen Center. Ann works full-time and currently takes the bus part way back but due to her late schedule, she’s also relying on Lyft or Uber to get all the way back. A vehicle would make an enormous impact on Ann's continued progress towards permanent housing.” We are SO excited to welcome Ann to the C4H Family and Aftercare Program!!
Turns out Barbara had an unexpected birthday gift yesterday! She was blessed with a beautiful blue Buick (her favorite color) and caught by SURPRISE! God is SO in the details, and His timing is perfect! Because of this vehicle, she is now able to provide herself with a sustainable income, take her grandkids for a ride, and get back on her feet. Welcome to the C4H family, Barbara!
Barbara was referred to us by the MICAH House, and her RO stated the following: "I chose to nominate Barbara because she has been working extremely hard on her goals since arriving at our shelter. Barbara has displayed a great determination in making positive changes that can be observed through her rapid gain of employment, involvement in IOP, and her ability to accept change and use it to grow.”
Thank you to the car donor for making this blessing possible, and for the partnering organization that referred her to us! We could never do it without you.
Yesterday was a beautiful day for a BLESSING! Our recipient, Eriayana was referred to us by Greater Omaha Parent Life. The following is a statement from Emily with Parent Life:
“I have known Eriayana since October 2020, although she has been a part of Parent Life since Summer of 2018. Eriayana is a single mom who is working very hard to provide for herself and her young son. She is incredibly grateful for everything she receives and desires to not be a burden on anyone. She is a young mom who has come to have a personal relationship with Jesus and she is in a regular mentorship relationship with a Parent Life mentor. She is a bright and beautiful young lady inside and out, without much family support.”
Currently working as a bus driver, we are so happy to hand her the keys to HER car. No more Uber!! We’re excited to welcome Eriayana to the C4H Family and RIPE Program!
A big THANK YOU to Whiting-Turner for sponsoring her vehicle, doing the repairs, and making it ready for her to drive!! You guys ROCK, and YOU are changing her life forever.
Help us WELCOME Chanel to the C4H family!! Chanel was referred to us by the Family Guidance Center in St. Joseph, MO. The following statement is from Danielle with the FGC:
“Chanel has worked hard to focus on her mental, physical health and her recovery. She’s working on becoming more self sufficient for herself with going back to school and looking for an apartment. Chanel is very self-determined and would like to better herself. We know this car will be a game changer for her!”
We are SO excited for her to continue walking in freedom, and have a reliable vehicle to depend on. Congratulations, Chanel!! BIG shoutout to our friends at Anderson Ford of St. Joseph for hosting us and jumping in on the surprise! We appreciate you so much.
